Comp 1W dampers are single-adjustable, moving compression and rebound together — the right way to build a high-performance coilover of this type, because the damping balance stays correct as grip changes with temperature and track conditions.
Our curves are different from typical street coilovers: digressive compression and linear rebound. Compression does more of the work controlling the sprung mass, so the car dives less, turns in sharper and tells you what it’s doing. Rebound stays linear and relatively light so the tire stays planted under braking, at turn-in, mid-corner and at exit.

Questions
How long does a Comp 1W take?
5–6 weeks when the base kit is in stock — each kit is built and valved to order. Build times are coming down with the new line and will keep coming down.
Are these rebuildable?
Yes — every RedShift coilover is rebuildable and every part is available separately, during the warranty and long after. See Parts & Service.
What spring rates can I choose?
Street Custom and Comp kits: any rate, front and rear, in whole kg/mm. Standard springs are available up to 10 kg/mm; above that we fit Swift springs (+$380). Not sure? Tell us how you drive and we’ll recommend rates — no charge.
Warranty
RedShift-built kits carry a 2-year warranty on every part of the kit for the original purchaser (Street S1: 1 year against manufacturing defects). All RedShift coilovers are for off-road use only.
